DESCRIPTION:We had so much fun in previous years; let’s do it again!  This is a different kind of Pride Parade, one that takes place in the water—South Bay style.  Celebratory lunch to follow.\n❤️\nThe South Bay Pride Paddle encourages participants to take to King Harbor in Redondo Beach on their paddle boards, kayaks, boats, docks, and walkways, adorned in their Pride colors to show their pride, support, and solidarity with LGBTQIA+ people.\nA celebratory lunch with entertainment will cap off the event.\nCome for the paddle, come for lunch, or come to both!\n🧡\nIf you don’t have a vessel, no worries!  We will again be working with the wonderful Olympus Board Shop for rentals where they bring the equipment to the docks.\nText/call for rental: (424) 262-1699\nUp-to June 30: $35 early bird rental fee\nUp-to July 25: $40 rental fee\nA portion of the rental fee will be donated to the South Bay LGBTQ Center.\n💛\n11am:\nRental pick up begins at the King Harbor Yacht Club docks.\nFor anyone who is new to paddle boarding, instruction will be available before the paddling starts.  Support will also be available along the way.\nPride/rainbow attire encouraged!\n💚\n11:30am:\nThe Pride Paddle will start from the docks of King Harbor Yacht Club and traverse through the harbor with fun stops along the way.\n💙\n2:30pm:\nAfter the paddle, we’ll have lunch on the outdoor patio of the King Harbor Yacht Club.\nDon’t let the name “yacht club” fool you. Fancy attire is not the dress code on the daily. Casual attire is fine, especially if you just came out of the harbor. Pride/rainbow attire is encouraged.\nMusical performance by Aileen Quinn and The Leapin’ Lizards.  Drag queens TBA.\nIn case the name Aileen Quinn sounds familiar, she was the original Annie!\n💜\nPlease, come dressed in Pride attire/rainbows if comfortable.
