DESCRIPTION:The Forgotten Circus transforms Not Shockboxx, an artist-forward gallery in Hermosa Beach’s Cypress Arts District, into an immersive haunted art experience every Friday night in October. Guests wander a twisted gallery maze filled with original installations, sinister performers, and the remnants of an abandoned big top, all built by local artists, builders, and scare actors from across the South Bay creative community.\nThe experience is creepy, theatrical, and atmospheric without relying on excessive blood or gore, making it a fit for date nights, friend groups, and older kids and teens looking for Halloween things to do in Hermosa Beach. Ticket holders can arrive anytime during the 6 to 9 p.m. window on their selected Friday, since the maze is a walk-through experience rather than a 3 hour event.\nAfter the maze, the evening continues next door at The Studio with games, strange diversions, and other sideshow fun. The Forgotten Circus makes its final appearance at a separately ticketed Halloween party on Saturday, October 31, with the full installation and a live DJ.\nThe Forgotten Circus is creatively directed by Mark “Debo” DiBenedetto, produced with Boomz Pharm and Geist Monster Media, and curated by artists Joel Geist and Claudia Berman.
