Introducing Bloom! at South Coast Botanic Garden
You’re invited to a complete sensory experience unlike any other at Bloom!. Start your journey in the courtyard with a stunning, Instagram-worthy display. Then make your way through several newly planted areas in the Garden until you finally end up at the ultimate destination: the Amphitheater Lawn. The garden team has planted 21,000 bulbs for an epic display that will bloom again and again with new sights and scents throughout the season.
Welcome Back Soar – Tropical Butterflies
Returning for the 4th year to South Coast Botanic Garden is Soar. This incredible exhibit features hundreds of tropical butterflies that you wouldnāt normally see in Southern California.Ā Explore the Host and Nectar Garden where you can discover the beautiful plant species that are part of a butterflyās habitat. Learn about how butterflies grow in the Emergence Chamber. Finally, visit the pavilion where you will have an up-close-and-personal experience with the hundreds of butterflies flying around you.Ā

For a truly one-of-a-kind experience, check out the Butterfly Feeding Experience and you’ll have the opportunity to use a flower vial filled with nectar to entice butterflies to come close to you.
Visiting South Coast Botanic Garden
Bloom! is going on now and Soar – Tropical Butterflies will open on May 1. Entrance to Bloom! is free with your general admission tickets or annual membership. Soar is a ticketed event that must be reserved in advance. Adult tickets are $23, kids ages 5-12 areĀ $13, and ages 2-4 are $8. There is an additional $6 fee for the Butterfly Feeding Experience.
