Annual Fourth of July Celebration

Join us to celebrate our Nation’s 248th birthday! The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is hosting a fun-filled day of activities. The celebration will include a patriotic concert by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Band, family entertainment, lawn games, crafts and so much more! Activities include face painting, carnival picnic games, such as sack races and water balloon toss and more. Presidential look-alikes will tell interesting stories. You do not want to miss presidential bingo with prizes. Enjoy time relaxing on the museum grounds with a beautiful view. Our bistro will be open with food and drinks available for purchase.

Join us for a statue unveiling of Sally Ride, the first American woman to fly in space. This program will be open to the public at 12:00 p.m.

Today marked the launching of the seventh space shuttle flight. This particular shuttle flight is unique in several respects. It’s the first space flight of an American woman — Dr. Sally Ride, another example of the great strides women have made in our country…I wish Dr. Ride and her fellow crew members the best of luck in their bold journey.
