ArtLab – Art & Marine Science Workshop – September 2022
Angels Gate Cultural Center and the Marine Mammal Care Center are collaborating on monthly Science & Art Workshops! Free for all, kids and adults, all ages welcome.
ArtLab takes place in-person at the Marine Mammal Care Center. COVID-19 safety protocols (mask wearing & contact tracing) will be enforced on-site.
Join the Marine Mammal Education Team and Angels Gate Artist Taylor Griffith to learn about pollution and create an art project. The afternoon will begin with a science lesson about Pollution and the way it impacts Seals and Sea Lions. Then Artists at Work Fellow Taylor Griffith will lead us in a workshop to create small “lure” sculptures which will be used in a community sculpture called “Long Lines”. A unique cyanotype print will be made by each participant to be picked up at the show in October.
All ages welcome. Supplies will be provided.
The event will begin promptly at 1pm. Please be sure to be at the Marine Mammal Care Center by that time.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
