Kids Fall Harvest Festival
The goal of the free Kids Fall Harvest Festival is to build trust, connection and creativity within our community. All Long Beach residents are welcome, especially those with children residing in the Nehyam neighborhood (North Long Beach), to safely and joyfully celebrate the start of the fall season.
The festival will include activity booths geared towards 3-10 year olds, including DIY crafts, games, educational displays, pumpkin derby race, and a pumpkin patch! Mini-workshops will also take place throughout the afternoon, such as how to compost at home, how honey is made from an expert beekeeper, gardening tips, and more.
From 10am-10:30am is the monthly first Saturday Crop Swap so it will kick off our event with the community gathering to exchange and share their produce grown in their own home gardens! Feel free to come and check it out, or bring what you are growing. For more information about the crop swap please visit www.firehousecommunityfarm.org.
We are striving to make this a zero waste event, so feel free to bring your own trash-free picnic lunch and reusable water bottle(we will have a refill station available).
