Orange County Auto Show
The Orange County Auto Show is back!
The OC Auto Show packs the Anaheim Convention Center with hundreds of new cars, trucks, crossovers, SUVs, electric vehicles (EVs), concepts, and more. In conjunction with National Drive Electric Week, the show will offer an indoor EV performance track with multiple brands and an EV learning center. The show will also feature exotics, test drives, Camp Jeep® off-road test track, and more, from Thursday, October 5 through Sunday, October 8.
Celebrating SoCal’s car culture, this is the place to check out the latest 2024-model vehicles in a non-selling environment, talk to product specialists, inspect engines, and even go for a spin in a variety of vehicles. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about hybrids, plug-in hybrids, EVs, fuel cell vehicles and traditional gas engines, helping them choose what best suits their needs. The auto show will feature several concepts and all-new vehicles including the Honda Prologue, Lexus GX, Grand Wagoneer Overland Concept, Nissan Ariya Surf Wagon Concept, Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, Toyota Grand Highlander, Lexus TX, and more.
The SoCal Electrified Ride Experience will give attendees a thrilling ride in and array of EV vehicles on a twisting track with tight turns and a quick acceleration lane to showcase the handling and performance of EV vehicles. Participating manufacturers include Cadillac, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Volvo, and Volkswagen. Audi and BMW will offer outdoor EV test drives. The EV learning center dubbed Electric Avenue, will complement the track experience, and educate customers on the benefits of owning an electric vehicle, charging station options from Volta, and just how easy it is to make the switch to electric.
“Although EVs are growing in popularity, hybrids and plug-in hybrids are also viable options, and with more than 33 hybrid vehicles now available there are plenty to choose from,” said Autotrader Executive Editor Brian Moody. “According to a recent Kelley Blue Book Survey, more than 60 percent of buyers say their next car purchase will be something that will pollute less, and most new car shoppers say a hybrid is a better fit for their lifestyle than an all-electric car. The OC Auto Show is a great place to learn about all the eco-friendly options available today.”
Take the show floor experience to the next level and test-drive a lineup of all-new vehicles, right at the show. Licensed drivers are invited to get a feel for the performance and handling of dozens of new models from BMW, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. Giving back to the community, Chrysler will donate $50 to the Autism Society of America for each test drive taken in a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.
Additionally, show-goers can go off-roading and climb a mountain inside the Anaheim Convention Center at Camp Jeep®. Professional drivers will take passengers on a thrilling interactive adventure along an off-road test track at featuring Jeep Mountain, an 18-foot, 35-degree hill climb; three-wheeling over Camp Jeep’s Trail Rated Pass; and a stretch of terrain that simulates fallen logs. A collection of all-new Jeep models will be available to test on the track including the Gladiator Rubicon, Gladiator Mojave, Wrangler Rubicon, Wrangler 392, Wrangler 4xe, Grand Cherokee 4xe Trailhawk, Grand Cherokee L, and Compass Trailhawk.
Children are invited to participate in a Kids Scavenger Hunt where they will search the show floor to collect stamps and turn the pass in for a chance to win a prize. The little ones will also enjoy Mini Motors mini electric car test drives, Nissan’s Thrill Street, Ford and Kia drive simulators, Chevrolet’s comic book adventure, and a visit from Hank the Robot in Ford.
