Wells of Life 9th Annual Run4Water (1K & 5K)
Wells of Life will be hosting its 9th annual Run4Water 1K/5K to raise funds for Operation Restoration – a project dedicated to restoring abandoned water wells in Africa. The distance of the run/walk symbolizes the same distance women and young children must travel every day to retrieve clean water. Participants will follow a similar path at San Clemente Vista Hermosa Sports Park. The organization seeks to reach their goal in raising $240,000 to restore 60 broken wells and to provide clean water to 60,000 people in Uganda. Run4Water will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
All are welcome to join the fundraising event. There is a $40 participation fee, and teams that raise $4,000 have the opportunity to restore their own well. Each restoration receives its own photobook and custom plaque. A singular well can provide clean water to over 1,000 people.
