Black History Month is nearly over, but with Netflix, your kids can continue to learn and be inspired by watching Black Stories for Families.
In celebration of Black History Month, Netflix introduced the Black Stories for Families page to make it easier for users to discover programming that features black characters. The list includes dozens of family-friendly kids’ shows and movies.

Featured favorites on the Black Stories for Families page include classic hits like Nickelodeon’s Good Burger, Sister, Sister, and The Karate Kid starring Jaden Smith and Taraji P. Henson.
Several new and original Netflix series on the list include popular kids’ shows Ada Twist, Scientist, Karma’s World, Family Reunion, Raising Dion, and That Girl Lay Lay.
Based on the best-selling book series of the same name Ada Twist, Scientist is the perfect series to inspire young girls who are passionate about the world of STEM. Along with her friends, Ada Twist has tons of fun discovering the truth about everything!
The first season of Karma’s World was an instant sensation, and it’s not hard to see why. The series follows Karma Grant, an aspiring musical artist who channels her emotions into her songwriting. Together with her friends, she’s discovering how powerful words can be and how even young kids can change the world.
