South Bay Volunteers serves as a centralized hub where residents can easily discover ways to give back to their community, support local causes, and make a lasting impact.

2025 marks the beginning of Together We Walk, a community walk to uplift and empower individuals impacted by cancer, including their families and loved ones. This event is a tribute to Judith Opdahl’s legacy and her commitment to Cancer Support Community South Bay. More Info
Maria’s Closet – Prom Dress Giveaways
Dates:
- Saturday, March 22 – Volunteers needed to help set up for the Big Give. Duties include organizing dresses, setting up displays, and getting everything ready for the giveaway event.
- Sunday, March 23 – Be a stylist for the day and help a teen find their dream prom dress.

Culture Club South Bay – Beach Volunteer Days
Dates: April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17
Location: Bruce’s Beach, Manhattan Beach
Help diversify beach culture in the South Bay by volunteering at youth beach experiences. Volunteers assist with surf instruction, logistics, and creating a fun and welcoming environment.

Assist older and disabled adults by running errands or driving them to essential locations. Requires a 1-year commitment and attendance at a BCHD orientation.
