What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is an annual community building event that supports police and community partnerships. The event is typically held on the first Tuesday of August each year. The annual celebration aims to enhance the “relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.”
National Night Out Events in the South Bay
This year’s celebration, which takes place on August 6, features several events at parks and locations across the South Bay. Some events take place on alternate dates.
El Segundo National Night Out
Join the El Segundo Police Department and come out and meet your neighbors! Enjoy the fun of live music, bouncers, booths, and more. The event takes place along the 300-block of Main Street from 5pm to 8pm on August 6.
Redondo Beach National Night Out
Join the Redondo Beach Police Department for an exciting National Night Out event . Bring your kids and get a chance to meet our amazing officers, engage in fun-filled games, and indulge in some delicious food trucks. Be prepared to witness impressive police displays and demonstrations featuring SWAT, K9 units, and drone technology. The event takes place at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center from 4pm to 8pm on August 10.
Rancho Palos Verdes National Night Out
Join the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, the Lomita Sheriffās Station, and the L.A. County Fire Department for an afternoon of fun and unity on National Night Out. The event takes place at Hesse Park from 4pm to 6pm on August 6.
Torrance National Night Out
The Torrance celebration takes place across six different locations including: McMaster Park, Paradise Park, Columbia Park, Wilson Park, Sea Aire Park, and Hickory Park. The events will all be held on August 1 from 6pm to 8pm.
Hawthorne National Night Out
Join in the fun at this free event for Hawthorne residents. Activities include: food, including Hot Dogs and Popcorn, Displays – Vehicle Tours, Children’s Area – Games, and a Free Raffle. The event takes place at City Hall from 5pm to 7pm on August 6.
Gardena National Night Out Summer Block Party
The highly-anticipated Summer Block Party is making its grand return to commemorate National Night Out! Join us for an unforgettable summer evening filled with excitement and community spirit. Get the chance to mingle with the dedicated Gardena Police officers, engage with friendly City staff members, and connect with your fellow residents for a night of fun and camaraderie. The event takes place at the City Hall Complex from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on August 6.
Lawndale National Night Out
Join in a memorable National Night Out in Lawndale, where our community unites to celebrate togetherness and safety in a vibrant setting.Ā Enjoy an evening filled with family-friendly activities, music, refreshments, community booths, and much more!Ā The event takes place at the Lawndale Civic Center Plaza from 5pm to 7pm on August 6.
Lomita National Night Out and Car Show
Come enjoy vendors, live music, food trucks, ice cream, meet our local Sheriffās Dept. and enjoy the beauty of vehicles from decades past. This event is sure to be a fun filled evening. This event takes place at Lomita City Hall from 6pm to 8pm on August 6.
