SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Is Opening Soon and Here’s a Sneak Peek
Mario fans don’t have to wait much longer! Universal Studios Hollywood just revealed that the highly-anticipated SUPER NINTENDO WORLD is set to open in February. They also released a first glimpse of the new theme park addition and it’s as fantastic as you hoped.
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Is Opening At Universal Studios
The innovative and immersive new addition to Universal Studios Hollywood is set to open on Friday, February 17, 2023. The moment you set foot in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD it will feel like you’ve been transported into a colorful new realm. Guests can check out Peach’s Castle, explore the Mushroom Kingdom, and even dine at Toadstool Cafe. The highlight of the new land by far is the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge attraction.
This technologically-advanced ride is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. It uses AR (augmented reality) and a multi-sensory backdrop of color and sound to make riders feel as if they are actually driving in the famous game. You’ll have a blast steering the kart, collecting coins, and trying to beat Team Bowser, just like in the classic Nintendo game.
The other aspect that makes this new Universal land so unique is the interactive elements. Guests can purchase Power-Up Bands –wearable interactive wristbands that enhance the park experience with games and interactive elements, like punching “?” Blocks and collecting coins. The colorful bands come in six different designs.
Of course it wouldn’t be a complete theme park experience without a gift shop. Guests can purchase collectible Nintendo memorabilia at the 1-Up Factory with an extensive offering of toys, clothes and other items featuring Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Toad and the whole gang.
