Valmonte Farm & Garden: Where Minds and Community Blossom in Palos Verdes
Nestled in the scenic Valmonte neighborhood of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Valmonte Farm & Garden is more than just a community garden—it’s a place where education, sustainability, and connection flourish. For over 12 years, this 501(c)(3) non-profit, under the meticulous care of founder Nancy Lemargie, has transformed a once-unused plot of land into a thriving farm and gathering space for all.
About Valmonte Farm & Garden
Located on land provided by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD), the farm serves as a living classroom for students, a resource for the community, and a destination for fresh, chemical-free produce. Through its Seed to Plate program, Valmonte Farm & Garden provides nutrient-dense vegetables and herbs to the public and to local restaurants, all grown without pesticides.
Visitors can enjoy farm-fresh eggs, seasonal produce, fragrant herbs, and Nancy’s beloved homemade preserves. Guests are also encouraged to meet—and even adopt—one of the friendly resident chickens for a truly unique gift.
