Village Vibes 90277: Inside the Redondo Beach Boutique Building Community One Pop Up at a Time
Village Vibes 90277 has become a gathering spot in the heart of Redondo Beach, offering curated beach apparel for women and men alongside a steady lineup of community events. For co-owner Lisa Vitale, the boutique represents more than a career pivot: it is a chance to build something meaningful in her own community.

From Entertainment and Marketing to Redondo Beach Retail
Lisa Vitale’s path to opening Village Vibes 90277 came after a career spanning entertainment and sales and marketing. Rather than a simple business launch, she describes her journey as taking everything she learned over the years and applying it to build something meaningful in the community.
She partnered with her best friend, Denise Halliwell, who spent 8 years as co-owner of Beach DNA and has built a career as a successful stylist. Together with Cathy Cesarz, the trio rebranded and rebuilt Village Vibes 90277 into what it is today.

What Makes Village Vibes 90277 Different
Located in the heart of Redondo Beach, Village Vibes 90277 offers a curated selection of apparel for both women and men. The team set out to make the shop feel like more than a clothing store, positioning it as a destination where visitors can find the perfect gift or stay tuned for upcoming events that celebrate the community.
Affordability was a priority from the start. Alongside great beach apparel, the owners wanted to create a spot where the community could gather. Their vision led to the launch of the shop’s “Good Vibes Only” patio, a space Village Vibes 90277 shares with its new neighbor, @artsn.la.

A Hub for Local Bands, Artists, and Pop Ups
Community involvement runs through everything Village Vibes 90277 does. The shop has hosted local bands, seminars, fundraisers, and food pop ups that showcase the talent and goodwill the South Bay has to offer. Local band merchandise is also featured in the shop, giving South Bay artists another way to reach new fans.
The “Good Vibes Only” patio and the adjacent parking lot regularly host local creators and vendors for pop-ups and events, turning the boutique into a rotating showcase for South Bay talent.

Community and Advice for Other Local Business Owners
For Lisa Vitale, community is everything. She points to the shop’s ongoing events and collaborations as proof of how much talent and goodwill exists across the South Bay, and how much Village Vibes 90277 wants to be part of amplifying it.
Her advice for anyone starting their own path is simple: be yourself, build what feels good, and help others along the way. She often thinks of the saying that a rising tide lifts all boats, and tries to live that out by helping where she can in the community, hiring and working with local artists and artisans, and showcasing the South Bay as the special place it is.
