Local Anchor was invited to a sneak peak of the incredible House of the Retro Future Suite during the Mommy Blogger Tribe – Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground Takeover.
Dial back your clocks and get ready to be transported on a Mid-Century Modern getaway. HOJO created an ideal time machine so you can experience the “Retro Future,” which combines timeless 1960s design cues with practical modern features. This unique apartment was influenced by the Monsanto and M.I.T.-created House of the Future walk-through attraction as well as Googie architecture and mid-century modern design.
Curated art by Shag and subtle touches like an in-room record player with a collection of vinyl LP’s come together to complete the full retro aesthetic. Of course it wouldn’t be a Future Suite without some modern amenities as well, including an in-room Echo Show.
The all-new House of the Retro Future Suite will be available for booking starting late summer 2022.
In addition to checking out this suite, we had a chance to experience a family staycation for two nights packed with tons of fun in the sun at the pool and the Howard Johnson water park called Castaway Cove. It’s the perfect spot to getaway, close to home, close to Starbucks (what mom doesn’t need Starbuck’s), and most importantly close to Disneyland! In fact, it’s about a 10 minute walk!
