The Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce is bringing its inaugural women’s conference, Ignite: Mind, Body & Soul, to the Sonesta Redondo Beach and Marina on Friday, October 9, 2026. The daylong event was created by women, for women, and is designed to inspire, empower and connect women at every stage of their personal and professional lives.

What Is Ignite: Mind, Body & Soul
Ignite: Mind, Body & Soul is the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce’s first Women’s Conference, built around a simple idea: women deserve a full day dedicated to learning, connection and themselves. The schedule blends keynote speakers, breakout sessions and panel discussions on leadership, wellness, personal growth and business, alongside a Women’s Marketplace where attendees can shop and connect with women owned businesses.
Organizers describe the event as being for business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, community leaders, or simply anyone looking for inspiration and meaningful connection.

Option A: Janie Honeycutt, “Owning Your Leadership Journey: Embracing Strengths and Stories.” Leadership doesn’t start with a title, it starts with a story, whether attendees are leading a team, just starting out, in a support role or building something of their own.
Option B: Mental Health in the Workplace (speaker to be announced)
Option C: Kathy Hoss, “The New Rules of Women’s Health, What Every Woman Needs to Know Right Now.” A conversation covering hormones, stress and cortisol, nervous system resilience, metabolism, weight management and nutrition, and how to make healthy living enjoyable and sustainable.

Option A: “Connected or Disconnected? The Human Connection in a Digital and AI World” (speaker to be announced). A look at how to maintain meaningful relationships in a world of smartphones, social media, texting and artificial intelligence, and how to balance technology with genuine human connection.
Option B: Kathleen Terry, “Discovering Your Purpose, Turning Passion into Action.” Finding purpose in different seasons of life and learning how to turn passions, experiences and strengths into meaningful action.
Option C: Tonya McKenzie, “Control the Narrative.” Practical strategies for communicating with confidence, owning your message and navigating the microphone, the camera and the moments that shape your story.
12:10 to 12:40 p.m. Lunch Panel: The Whole Woman
The featured Lunch Panel, The Whole Woman: Work, Life & Everything In Between, features Tamala Lewis and Megan Vixie in a conversation about creating a life that works for you, not just a schedule that works for everyone else.

12:50 to 1:20 p.m. Breakout Sessions
Option A: Megan Vixie, “The Power of Connection: Turning Small Talk into Lasting Relationships.” Practical strategies for starting conversations, finding common ground and networking with confidence.
Option B: Dr. Joan Irvine, “Ignite Your Resilience: Turning Challenges into Strength & Possibility.” An empowering conversation about finding the strength to move forward, learning from adversity and turning obstacles into opportunities for growth.
Option C: Cyndi Wicks, “From Happiness to Joy, Rediscovering Your Creative Spark.” A break from the serious side of life and a reminder of the importance of creativity, curiosity and joy.
1:25 to 1:50 p.m. Ignite Your Potential: AI as Your New Power Tool
Laura Stotland and Sheilah Pacete lead an interactive workshop on how AI can become a thought partner, creative assistant and productivity tool, with practical ways to save time, organize ideas, improve communication, brainstorm and tackle everyday professional and personal tasks.
1:50 to 2:25 p.m. Afternoon Keynote: Melanie Stricklan
Melanie Stricklan closes the formal program with “Designing the Life and Career You Want.”
Optional After Hours Networking
The conference officially concludes at 2:35 p.m., but attendees who can stay are invited to an optional Stay, Sip & Connect networking hour from 2:45 to 4:30 p.m. The after hours gathering includes a no host bar with beverages available for purchase, continued shopping at the Women’s Marketplace and casual conversation with fellow attendees, speakers, sponsors and vendors.
