Manhattan Beach Fireworks Schedule of Events
The fun kicks off early in the day, with activities taking place throughout Manhattan Beach before the grand finale — the 37th Annual Skechers Manhattan Beach Fireworks Show. Here’s the full event schedule:
- 3:00 PM – 4:00PM Skechers Snow Park open for kids/families of the Friendship Foundation located on upper south parking lot above the Pier.
- 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Mira Costa Choir Carolers stroll Downtown
- 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM – Skechers Snow Park (open to the public)
- 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM – Santa Float on Manhattan Ave (perfect for a festive photo op)
- 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM – High School Rock Band performance, band TBA
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Mira Costa High School Jazz Band
- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Joe’s Band performance
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM – Manhattan Beach Fireworks Show
Skechers Snow Park: Don’t forget to bring new, unwrapped toys, canned food, or monetary donations to support the YMCA Adventure Guides Charity.
Where to Watch the Fireworks
The Skechers Manhattan Beach Fireworks Show is the event’s main attraction. You’ll want to arrive early to pick the perfect viewing spot for the fantastic display. Blankets are allowed on Manhattan Beach Blvd, from Highland Ave to the Pier, starting at 4pm, or once public safety officials determine streets are safe for access. The fireworks will light up the sky at 7:00 PM, so be sure to claim your spot early to avoid the crowds.
Parking & Transportation Tips
Parking is extremely limited, and it’s advisable to arrive early, especially if you plan to park in one of the city’s lots. We suggest leaving your parking worries behind and riding the free Park and Ride Shuttle to the Skechers Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks! With eight buses cycling continuously and convenient pick-up/drop-off locations, getting to the fireworks has never been easier. The shuttle service hours of operation are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Free parking is available at Northrop Grumman Parking Lot: Aviation Boulevard and Space Park Drive, which also serves as a shuttle stop
- Parking Rates: City parking lots are $2.00 per hour, as is street parking in the Downtown Manhattan Beach business district.
- The City of Manhattan Beach operates 12 parking lots, and there are also more than 300 street meters available in the downtown area. For additional parking information, visit the Downtown Manhattan Beach Parking page.
- For Uber/Lyft users, designated loading zones are available at the Northrop Grumman Parking Lot.
Street Closures
In preparation for the event, several streets around Manhattan Beach Pier will be closed:
- 6:00 AM: Manhattan Beach Boulevard (The Pier to Manhattan Avenue) and Ocean Drive (11th Street to Center Place) will close.
- 1:00 PM: Additional street closures include Manhattan Avenue, Bayview Drive, and 11th Street, among others. Full details can be found on the Skechers Manhattan Beach Fireworks website.
What You Need to Know
- No street vendors will be allowed on-site, as the city enforces a no-vendor policy to support local businesses and ensure public safety.
- No drones are permitted due to public safety concerns.
