Around Town: The Riviera Village in South Redondo Beach
There are so many great areas of the South Bay and that includes The Riviera Village in South Redondo Beach. Such a charming local spot found on the Southern end of Redondo Beach, about two blocks West of the beach! You’ll find mostly small family owned businesses like boutique shopping, yummy eateries, and more. We started our adventure at the Coffee Bean, ok, not a small business, but we love the Coffee Bean. From there, we strolled West towards the beach. There is some new developments happening in the area, so we’ll be sure to keep our eyes on that.

We found a new BBQ restaurant, Chicago for Ribs. We haven’t tried it yet, but it looks really yummy!
As we kept heading West, we passed some adorable boutique stores, perfect for picking up unique gifts for friends & family! We landed at a brand new place on the corner called, Allomi, a new not-just-yoga, yoga studio. We happened to meet the owner and learn more about her new studio. They offer everything from Yoga, Meditation, Cardio Dance, Rebounding classes, nutritional counseling, life coaching, holistic health & creative living workshops, massage therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture and Reiki!! Can’t wait to go back.
Then we crossed the street to a favorite little spot of mine, Sack’s on the Beach. Open for Breakfast or lunch, this is a great little spot to grab something healthy on the go and hang out if you have some time!
Then we crossed the street and made our way down the main street of Catalina Ave. Here you will find many more beach-y boutiques, salons, and great places to grab a bite. Some of the places we enjoy getting some food include Redondo Beach Brewery, The Good Stuff, Locale 90 Pizza, Pedone’s Pizza, Riviera Mexican Grill, Rock & Brews, and the Yellow Vase to name a few. Here can find a list of all the restaurants in the Riviera Village
You can also head over for some really fun events throughout the year, like these:
- “First Fridays” on the first Friday of each month come down for live music, local shopping, and more
- Happy Hours & Drink Specials
- Riviera Village Summer Festival in June
- Annual Sidewalk sale in August
- Halloween Stroll on October 31
- Annual Holiday Stroll & Parade in November
- And last but not least, on Sunday’s from 9am to 2pm you can find a Farmers Market in the main parking lot that is located east of Catalina Avenue.
