Sweethearts Are Back With a Valentine’s Day Message of Kindness
Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be quite the same without Sweethearts. The sweet candy hearts covered in love messages are back and this time they have something really important to say.
Sweethearts Are Back for Valentine’s Day
Sweethearts are the most iconic Valentine’s Day candy for good reason. Besides the bite-sized hearts packing plenty of flavor they’ve always been fun to read thanks to the messages of love they have stamped on them. Each year Spangler, the maker of these classic Valentine treats, has a new theme for these messages and this year’s is Words of Encouragement.
The heart-shaped candy will feature 16 new uplifting phrases, like “WAY 2 GO,” “CRUSH IT,” “FEAR LESS,” “DON’T QUIT,” and “PROUD OF YOU,” perfect for spreading kindness and empathy on Valentine’s Day.
In a press release Diana Eschhofen, Director of Corporate Communications for Spangler Candy Company, Sweethearts’ family-owned maker explained, “Words of encouragement are timeless and relevant for people of all generations, just like Sweethearts Candies, which have been shared amongst family and friends for 120 years.”
Spreading Kindness With Sweethearts
In addition to these new messages of kindness, the company also announced that it will be giving away 500 boxes of Sweethearts to people who work hard to make a difference or who could use a some spirit lifting. You can nominate someone in your community who you think is deserving of a sweet treat to receive a box along with a special card. More details on how to nominate and spread some positivity here.
