Holiday Helpers – Local Anchor Foundation
Date: November–December 2025 (Sponsor sign-ups open now)

Local Anchor is calling on community members, groups, organizations, and businesses to sponsor a local family for the holidays through the Holiday Helpers program. This annual effort provides gifts, essentials, and holiday cheer to families in need, connecting sponsors directly with the people they help. Sponsors can be individuals, teams, or businesses ready to make a local impact.

G-Money’s Inaugural Celebrity Golf Tournament – Cancer Support Community South Bay
Date: Monday, September 29, 2025
Location: Palos Verdes Golf Club
This charity golf event pairs each foursome with a celebrity, raising funds for Cancer Support Community South Bay’s free cancer support programs.

11th Annual Birdies for Breast Cancer – Cancer Support Community South Bay

Location: The Links at Terranea
Play a scenic round of golf on Terranea’s oceanfront course, enjoy food, drinks, contests, and a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting CSC South Bay’s breast cancer support programs.

Girls Night Out – Cancer Support Community South Bay

Location: Comedy & Magic Club, Hermosa Beach
Celebrate women and honor those impacted by cancer with an evening of laughter and connection at the Comedy & Magic Club. This long-awaited return of Girls Night Out supports CSC South Bay’s free programs.

Redondo Beach Police Department – Domestic Violence Awareness Candlelight Vigil

Location: Redondo Beach Police Department
The Redondo Beach Police Department hosts an annual candlelight vigil each October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Now in its 16th year, the vigil honors survivors, victims, and those working to end domestic violence. The event includes a candlelight ceremony and provides access to resources and support for victims, as well as information on prevention programs. The Domestic Violence Advocacy Program offers emergency assistance, education on the cycle of violence, and referrals to community services.
