World Changer Camp is returning to the South Bay
With summer right around the corner and the school year ending coming to an end, I’m on the hunt for things to do with my kids and local South Bay summer camps to keep them busy when I’m at work. I look for two things when searching for summer camps for my kids: enrichment and fun! I want my kids to have fun, but I also want them to learn something! Once I found World Changer Camp by Fox & Trove, my summer camp-searching days were over.

World Changer Camp is a play-based camp and all of the game and activities are embedded with lessons that teach social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. SEL skills include kindness, empathy, conflict resolution, emotion regulation, inclusiveness, resilience and bravery.
World Changer Camp also teaches campers self-calming and mindfulness techniques so that they are better able to cope and regulate their emotions. Numerous studies have shown that kids with developed SEL skills perform better in school, have stronger interpersonal relationships, and are better equipped to handle conflicts later on in life. If only everyone had well-developed SEL skills!
World Changer Camp is for children aged 4-5 and 6-7. Children must be in their last year of preschool, kindergarten, first, or second grade to participate in the camp.
The camp is one week in duration, Monday through Friday. Campers that are 4-5 years old attend in the morning (9 – 12 p.m.) and kids aged 6-7 attend in the afternoon (1 – 4 p.m.).
Sessions start June 10 and run through the last week of August.
Camp registration opens on April 22, 2019 at 8 p.m. Spaces fill quickly! Last year sessions sold out within minutes so if you’re interested, try to register as close to 8 p.m. as possible!
