Halloween wouldn’t quite be the same without all that candy, but finding a good spot near your neighborhood to trick or treat isn’t always easy. Luckily there are tons of awesome trunk or treat and trick or treat events throughout the South Bay where kids can collect candy in a fun and safe environment, including our very own Local Anchor-hosted Trick-or-Treat event. Best Trick or Treat Events in the South Bay
From trunk or treat events to Halloween celebrations at some of our favorite shopping centers, there are plenty of places to score that candy stash and have plenty of ghoulish good fun!

Redondo Trick or Treat Events
Redondo Beach Pier 9th Annual Halloween
Date: Friday, October 30, 2026, 6 – 9pm
Location: Fisherman’s Wharf at Redondo Beach Pier
The 9th Annual Redondo Beach Pier Halloween event features a costume contest, DJ, Halloween themed photos, giveaways, prizes for best costumes and Trick-or-Treating on the Pier and Boardwalk.

Halloween Trick or Treat ā Riviera Village
Date: Friday, October 31, 2026, 3 – 8pm
Location: Riviera Village
The Riviera Village Halloween Trick-or-Treat event has become a beloved tradition in South Bay, drawing thousands of children each year to celebrate a family-friendly Halloween in a safe, fun, outdoor setting. Catalina Avenue is closed to traffic from Avenue I to S Elena St, allowing shops to distribute candy and treats in the open air. Visitors can also enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants in the Village. This festive occasion is a fantastic way to embrace the Halloween spirit and experience all that Riviera Village has to offer!
Redondo Union High School Trunk or Treat
Date: TBA
Location: Redondo Union High School
Hosted by the RUHS PTSA the event is located in the RUHS Auditorium Lawn and Parking Lot join in the fun with trunk-or-treating and so much more! The event will include inflatable obstacle courses, food trucks, face painting, a silent auction, and of course costumes! Bring your lawn chairs and stay for Movie Night starting at 6pm.
El Segundo Trick or Treat Events
El Segundoās Annual Halloween Frolic
Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026, 12 – 4pm
Location: El Segundo City Hall, 350 Main Street, El Segundo, 90245
A South Bay favorite, this long-standing tradition brings Halloween fun for the whole family. The event features a trick-or-treat village, costume contests, games, and live music. Itās a safe and festive environment for kids to show off their costumes and collect candy from local businesses.

Trick or Treat Festival at The Point
Date:Ā October 21, 2026, 10 AM-12 PM
Location:Ā The Point
This fun family-friendly event features trick-or-treating around the shops at The Point, live entertainment, and fun activitiesā.

Torrance Trick or Treat Events
Trick or Treat at the Museum of Flight hosted by Local Anchor
Date: Sunday, October 4, 2026 11AM – 2PM
Location: The Museum of Flight, 3315 Airport Drive, Torrance
Bring the kids in costume for a jam packed morning of Halloween fun set against the backdrop of real vintage aircraft. Explore the museum’s one of a kind exhibits, then enjoy a full lineup of family activities including a Game Zone by Battle Party LA, arts and crafts, photo booth, and more!
Scaredown in Downtown Torrance
Date:Ā Saturday, October 3, 2026 4-9PM
Location:Ā 1266 Sartori Ave., Torrance, CA, 90501
The Downtown Torrance Association (DTA)ās 10th annual Scaredown in Downtown Torrance is ready to rise from the dead and bring the community another year of howling good fun! This event bring in thousands of attendees from LA & Orange County to the heart of the South Bay: historic Downtown Torrance. Join us for our Haunted Boo-tique, live performances, trunk or treating, crafts, hearses, photo ops, and more!

Mall-O-Ween

Location: Del Amo Fashion Center
Join in the spooktacular fun at the Mall-O-Ween celebration on Friday, October 31, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Del Amo Fashion Center. Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy spooky mall trick-or-treating as you stroll through the mall, visiting participating stores and collecting free candy while supplies last. Costumes are encouraged (No masks or toy weapons permitted).
Manhattan Beach Trick or Treat Events
38th Annual Halloween Carnival atĀ Manhattan Heights Park
Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026, 1 – 5pm
Location: Manhattan Heights Park
In addition to trick-or-treating, this exciting family-friendly event promises fun for all ages, featuring a costume contest with prizes for different age groups, a cupcake walk, and a variety of carnival games.

Manhattan Beach PD Trunk or Treat
Date: TBA
Location: Civic Center Upper Parking Lot, Entrance is off 15th Street between Valley Drive and Highland Avenue.
Collect candy from police and fire vehicles decked out in different themes. Tacos will be available for sale.
Palos Verdes Trick or Treat Events
Trick-Or-Treat at the Promenade PV
Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026, 3 – 6pm
Location: Promenade PV, 550 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates, 90274
Join in the fun for an evening of trick-or-treating, a costume contest, face painting, giant slide, haunted house, tasty eats, and more!
