The Downtown Torrance Association (DTA)’s 8th annual Scaredown in Downtown Torrance is ready to rise from the dead and bring the community another year of howling good fun! This event bring in thousands of attendees from LA & Orange County to the heart of the South Bay: historic Downtown Torrance. Since 1997, Taghavi Farms has been creating “Family Fun” memories, starting in Pasadena and later expanding to Torrance at the Del Amo Mall. Guy Taghavi and Tommy Mancini have focused on bringing families together with pumpkin patch photo opportunities and fun activities.
Select fresh quality pumpkins to start your family tradition of picking the perfect pumpkin, taking it home, and carving it together. Catalina Avenue is closed to traffic from Avenue I to S Elena St, allowing shops to distribute candy and treats in the open air. Visitors can also enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants in the Village. This festive occasion is a fantastic way to embrace the Halloween spirit and experience all that Riviera Village has to offer!

Debbie and Jeff’s Pumpkin Patch
This popular pumpkin patch has been serving the South Bay for over 30 years. Come for the pumpkins and stay for the bounce houses, photo ops, and petting zoo. And don’t forget to return for a Christmas tree when the lot transforms into Debbie and Jeff’s Christmas Trees for the holidays. The pumpkins arrive in October.

Join us for family-friendly fun at Edith Rodaway Friendship Park, located on Prospect Avenue and Hollowell! Come in costume and participate in our exciting costume parade. Enjoy selecting and decorating your own pumpkin to take home. There will be games, crafts, face painting, delicious hot dogs, popcorn, and an amazing puppet show by Franklin Haynes Marionettes.
This event runs from 11 AM to 1 PM and supports the HB Friends of the Parks non-profit foundation, which is dedicated to enhancing, preserving, and promoting parks and recreation programs in Hermosa Beach. Don’t miss out on the fun!
