Community Spotlight: Pearly Smiles Pediatric Dentistry
If you’re currently looking for a friendly neighborhood dentist for your child who hates going for their 6-month check up, well you’re in luck! Dr. Mori Aletomeh just recently opened her pediatric dentistry practice in the South Bay. Local Anchor are excited to introduce you to Pearly Smiles Pediatric Dentistry on this week’s Community Spotlight!

Tell us about your company?
“Hi, I’m a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and my practice is called āPearly Smiles Pediatric Dentistryā. I specialize in working with children through adolescents for their oral health and growth and development of the teeth and jaw bones. Fun fact: my name means “pearl” in Farsi so hence the āpearly smilesā name for the practice.”
What inspired you to launch this business?
“I have always been driven and was looking forward to bringing my vision to life. I really wanted to build an open concept, neat space that didnāt have the typical dental feel to it. South Bay is where I have made a home and thought why not live and serve the community I live in!”
What is one of your proudest moments?
“Hiking Machu Picchu all by myself! I’m not very good at doing things alone.”
What can one expect when visiting Pearly Smiles Pediatric?
“I really want every kid walking into my practice to feel relaxed and empowered. I pride myself in offering treatment that I do for my own niece and nephew, so treating every child like they are part of my own family.”
Tell us a little about yourself.
“I’m Canadian. After doing a year of Hospital Dentistry training at UCLA, I fell in love with the no rain boots weather and decided LA would be a good place to live. I have lived from the Westside to OC and chose to settle in the South Bay ā Redondo Beach is now home!”
What do you enjoy doing in the South Bay when you are not working?
“You will find me running on the strand, paddle boarding in Marina Del Rey or hiking the Los Liones trail… that is until I can hop a plane and explore again!”
Do you give back to the community?
“Time has been really limited lately, however, I really enjoy the dental missions/volunteer work I used to do! Give kids a smile day, doing a mission trip in Peru. Hopefully, I’ll get to do that in the near future again.”
