Centennial Celebration: Community Days
Torrance Memorial Medical Center proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone — 100 years of healthcare excellence — with a two-day Centennial Celebration on April 26-27, 2025. This exciting Community Days event invites the public to join in honoring the past, present, and future of one of the region’s most trusted medical centers.
Taking place inside a sprawling 16,000-square-foot tent on the medical center campus, the celebration will feature a blend of historical exhibits and future-forward experiences. Guests can explore a fascinating time capsule, view vintage automobiles, and discover Torrance Memorial’s incredible journey over the last century.
The event also offers a unique opportunity to experience cutting-edge medical technology up close. Live demonstrations will include robotic surgery, advanced stroke care, life-saving medical devices, CPR training, and hands-on health screenings. For those interested in healthcare careers, career development resources will also be available.
Families will enjoy entertainment for all ages, with music spanning the decades, delicious food, commemorative merchandise, and fun activities — including a stuffed animal repair station for young visitors.
