Earth Day Beach Cleanup

Join us for our annual Earth Day Beach Cleanup! Take action to help our local environment by cleaning our community’s beautiful Cabrillo Beach.

Every piece of trash that is picked up from the beach is one less piece of trash in the ocean. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the impacts of microplastics on ocean animals.

Plus, the first 100 volunteers who collect a bucket of trash will receive a free water bottle made from recycled ocean-bound plastic. We will provide cleanup supplies.

Volunteer Requirements
Volunteers must feel comfortable bending over to pick up trash and be able to carry a bucket weighing up to 10 pounds. Please wear comfortable walking shoes (preferably closed-toe for rockier areas), sunscreen and a hat. A jacket is recommended because it can get chilly by the water during spring.

Event Registration
Please register for the beach cleanup through Eventbrite to ensure you receive a parking pass via email. This event is free and open to all ages: children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
