Free Comic Book Day at The Comic Bug

Free Comic Book day is an international event that falls on the first Saturday in May to celebrate reading, art and comic books. Stores around the world buy specially printed books to give away at their events. The Comic Bug has participated for the last 20 years and have gone above and beyond by inviting comic book writers and artists to meet comic book fans to discuss their craft and sketch and autograph for free. The Comic Bug gives away over 10,000 free comic books and is one of the few shops that celebrates the event by hosting the event Saturday at the Manhattan Beach store and Sunday at the Culver City store. Some families may be busy or working on Saturday so they can come Sunday and meet the many creators and get free comics and sketches!

 

This year, The Comic Bug will look at it’s 21st year of giving away free comic books by hosting almost a dozen talented writers and artists from comic books such as Batman, Avengers, Spawn, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Space Ghost and many more titles! Creators will provide free autographs and sketches along with sharing their own books they have written and created. The Comic Bug offers special sales on products but there is no purchase necessary to get free comic books. Come join us!
