Kids Crafting with reDiscover Center
Culver City’s reDiscover Center hosts this fun, “make and take” kids crafting activity for ages 4-8 on the plaza at Ivy Station Culver City. Tap into your inner maker and create something new out of recycled and reclaimed materials.
Free event with free 2-hour parking validation provided upon request.
2/18: Cardboard Mardi Gras Masks—Laissez le bon temps rouler! Join Craft Captain Jennifer to use recycled and repurposed items to make bold and bright Mardi Gras masks. Let your creative animal out of its cage and get a little wild.
2/25: Pocket Monsters—Feast upon a creative buffet full of colorful cardstock, sparkling adornments and all the envelopes you can handle. Craft Captain Jennifer will help you make a menagerie of tiny monsters, friends, or emotional support beings that you can fit in your pocket and take with you wherever you go.
In order to maintain safe spaces, participation in kids activities will be limited to children and their accompanying parents, guardians, and caregivers.
This programming was created in part through the City of Los Angeles Arts Development Fee Program, Department of Cultural Affairs.
About reDiscover Center:
Our Mission is to develop children’s creativity through hands-on making with sustainable materials.
Our Vision is for all people to have an outlet for acquiring and donating reusable materials, and a resource to develop skills for employing them in a variety of ways. As reDiscover meets this need, we move closer to a culture where all waste materials can be recognized for their educational and creative value.
We achieve our mission and vision through strategic initiatives: community engagement utilizing our reuse warehouse, programs focused on education and creative expression, and shaping the next generation by working with children at our center, at schools, and in the community.
