Star Party! at Madrona Marsh
Save the date for the next Madrona Marsh Star Party!
On Saturday March 25, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, volunteers from the Riverside Astronomical Society will set up their telescopes in the Nature Center parking lot for visitor viewing. Before viewing starts there will be a short educational presentation about the evening’s observations. This is a chance for the whole family to look at the Moon, Venus, Mars, the Orion Nebula, Open Clusters, and Double Stars. Visitors can also try out a variety of telescopes and talk to knowledgeable amateur astronomers about the sky and their equipment.
The Riverside Astronomical Society outreach programs are dedicated to bringing astronomy to the public. Their Community Outreach volunteers enjoy setting up their telescope equipment and providing views for all to enjoy — kids, teens, adults, elderly… everyone! Please check their website for additional outreach events in the Southern California area.
The Star Party is totally free. Free event, free parking. Share this post if you have friends who may be interested.
Please call the Nature Center to register or for additional details (310) 782-3989.
