Whale of a Day
The City of Rancho Palos Verdes and Los Serenos de Point Vicente invite everyone to the 40th Annual Whale of a Day on April 12, 2025. This free, family-friendly event celebrates the migration of Pacific Gray whales from the Arctic to Baja California. Highlights include:
- Children’s games, crafts, inflatables, and face painting
- Guided tours of the Point Vicente Lighthouse grounds and Interpretive Center museum
- Marine-themed vendors, local organizations, and live music by local artists
- A variety of food and beverage options including food trucks, kettle corn, churros, beer, and wine
- A silent auction, raffle, and stunning cliff-side whale watching
The celebration is held on the main grounds of the Point Vicente Interpretive Center at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, with free event parking at Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall and a complimentary shuttle service to the venue.
