Whale of a Day
Whale Of A Day at Point Vicente Interpretive Center
Saturday, April 11th, 2025, 10AM ~ 4PM
Have fun under the sun at the annual Whale of a Day at Point Vicente Interpretive Center.
Los Serenos de Point Vicente and the City of Rancho Palos Verdes are celebrating the annual Gray Whale migration from its feeding grounds in the Bering and Chukchi Seas near Alaska to the warm breeding waters of Baja California.
The event will have games, crafts, story time, and activities for kids, including a bounce house and inflatable obstacle course. Kids can create their own whale hats, make origami whales and fish, and get their faces painted. Enjoy a meet and greet with local police and fire department officers and take a tour of the large fire truck.
Vendors will be selling jewelry and artwork and a variety of food trucks will be available. Not to be missed is a raffle with large baskets overflowing with goodies and a silent auction brimming with prizes!
The festival is a free event. Free parking will be available at the Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall parking lot, along with free bus shuttles to and from the Whale of a Day festival. There is no parking available at the Festival site.
