What to Expect at Hermosa for the Holidays
From November 21-23, 2025, Hermosa Beach will be buzzing with holiday cheer, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to shop local. Here’s an overview of the highlights:
- Holiday Shopping and Pop-Up Markets: Browse unique gifts and handmade items from local artisans, retailers, and the Shopfest Co. Kids can also enjoy shopping at the Kids’ Creationz Market, where young creators offer their own handcrafted items.
- Ferris Wheel on Pier Plaza: Take in the scenic view from the Ferris wheel, which will be open all weekend long, giving visitors a unique perspective of the beachside holiday celebration.
- Photos and Letters with Santa: Donāt miss the chance to capture festive memories with Santa! Families can enjoy photo ops and kids can write letters to Santa in a special holiday tent.
- Rock for Tots Concert: On Sunday, November 23, 5-8pm enjoy a live concert benefiting local childrenās charities. Rock for Tots brings the community together through music and holiday cheer.
- Giving Village with Local Nonprofits: Sunday, November 23, marks a day of giving back. The Giving Village offers opportunities to connect with local nonprofits and support community causes.
- Tree Lighting Ceremony and Concert: The weekend culminates with the much-anticipated Tree Lighting Ceremony and a community concert on Sunday, filling the air with holiday music and lighting up the night.

- Shopping & Pop-Up Market: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. along Pier Avenue.
- Photos with Santa: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Loreto Plaza.
- Storytime Tent: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Pier Avenue and Monterey (Uncorked Parking Lot).
- Ferris Wheel: 12 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Giving Village: 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Community Concert by South Bay Music Connection: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Pier Plaza
- Rock for Tots Concert: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pier Plaza
- Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa’s Arrival: 5:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. at Pier Plaza.
Elf on a Shelf Scavenger Hunt
From November 14 to November 24, explore Hermosa Beach to find hidden elves as part of the Elf on a Shelf Scavenger Hunt. Participants of all ages are welcome, and successful hunters can win prizes. Check out hbchamber.net/holidays for details and info on participating retailers.
