What is Lemonade Day Lomita?
Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that helps kids develop entrepreneurial skills as they start, own, and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. Since 2021 the program has been working to empower Lomita’s youth who will grow up to become the community’s future business leaders and social advocates.
The young entrepreneurs have spent several months preparing for the big day. They’ve been busy crafting business plans, executing marketing strategies, and securing funding, including micro-loans through the Lomita Chamber’s valued partner, South Bay Credit Union.
All of their hard work will culminate on the big day when they open their stands for business on July 20 and invite the community to support them.
Lemonade Day Details
The big day kicks off with an opening ceremony at Lomita City Hall (24300 Narbonne Avenue), at 9 a.m. After the ceremony, Lomita citizens are invited to support the young entrepreneurs at their lemonade stands throughout the city.
Stands will be open across the city from 11 am to 3 pm. You can find a map of all the stands and their individual hours on the website: lemonadeday.org/lomita.
