What Is the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair?
Founded in 1972, the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair is a non-profit, community-organized event held annually in the heart of Manhattan Beach. This event is the perfect way to experience the charm and close-knit community that defines the area. Whether you’re a local or visiting from nearby, the fair offers something for everyone, from arts and crafts to live entertainment, food, and games.

Location:
The fair is conveniently located on Valley Drive between 15th and 21st Streets, including Live Oak Park, Dorsey Field, and the Joslyn Center.
Here’s what you can look forward to at this year’s event:
- Arts & Crafts Booths: 180 fine arts and crafts vendors will display their work, offering handmade jewelry, pottery, clothing, paintings, and more. A perfect chance to shop for unique, locally-made treasures.
- Food & Drink: Satisfy your taste buds with a variety of food vendors offering everything from fair classics like funnel cakes and BBQ to gourmet options. Plus, don’t miss the locally beloved Beer Garden, where you can enjoy craft brews while taking in the festivities.
- Entertainment: Enjoy live music and performances on multiple stages throughout the weekend. From local bands to talented performers, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
- Games and Activities: Kid Country offers pony rides, petting zoo, inflatables, magic shows, wild animal shows, and more, all for free! Families can have a blast at the carnival-style game booths. All of the paid games are run by local groups with proceeds supporting programs and causes, but there are also free games for all.
- Community Showcase: Local non-profit organizations and clubs will be on hand to share information about their services and upcoming events. Support these amazing groups by learning more about the causes they support.
- Parade: The whole event kicks off with a parade on Saturday morning at 10am. The parade is led by local Scout troops and closes with a lively performance by the Mira Costa High School Marching Band and Drill Teams.
How to Attend the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair
Dates: Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026
Hours: The fair runs from 10 AM to 6 PM both days. Beer & Wine last call is at 5:30 PM and ticket sales ending at 5 PM.
Admission to the fair is FREE, and it’s a great opportunity to bring the whole family to enjoy a fun-filled weekend in Manhattan Beach. Parking is available in nearby lots. Accessible parking is available in the Upper Civic Center Lot at 15th and Highland.
