Local Anchor Takes Over Seaside Lagoon for End of Summer Beach Bash
Summer in the South Bay is winding down, and Local Anchor is sending it off with One Last Splash: End of Summer Beach Bash on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 11am to 3pm at Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach. The family-friendly community event is presented by Local Anchor in partnership with South Bay Credit Union and the City of Redondo Beach, and it brings together local businesses, community organizations, and South Bay neighbors for one more celebration before the season winds down.
Seaside Lagoon has been a beloved South Bay summer tradition for decades, and this end of summer beach bash adds an extra layer of fun to an already great day at the lagoon.

A Community Partner: South Bay Credit Union
One Last Splash is proudly presented in partnership with South Bay Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial institution that has served the South Bay since 1953. Headquartered in Redondo Beach, South Bay Credit Union offers membership to South Bay residents and those that work in the South Bay with a presence stretching from Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach to Torrance and Palos Verdes. Their support helps make community events like this one possible for South Bay neighbors to enjoy.

What to Expect at the Beach Bash
This event is included with regular paid admission to Seaside Lagoon: $8 for kids and $10 for adults. RSVP now and grab tickets at the gate. The day is packed with things to see and do beyond a swim in the lagoon’s heated saltwater pool. Attendees can expect:
- Arts and crafts and other fun activities for kids
- Live music by South Bay Music Connection
- Food trucks with food available for purchase
- Community booths and local vendor booths from South Bay small businesses
- Giveaways and prize drawings throughout the day
- Photo Booth
- Gift bags for the first 250 families through the gate
- And so much more
Many of the vendor booths are bringing interactive activities like prize wheels, raffles, and kids’ activities, so there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained between trips to the water.

Live Music by South Bay Music Connection
Live music throughout the day comes courtesy of South Bay Music Connection, a nonprofit that gives youth, teen, and young adult musicians a real stage and a real audience. Rooted in the South Bay’s local live music scene, South Bay Music Connection creates performance opportunities for up and coming musicians at community events across the area. Expect a lineup that keeps the energy going between swims and snacks at Seaside Lagoon.
