Why We Chose HOJO Anaheim

For this trip, we decided to get the 3-Day Disneyland pass and make a weekend of it. With two kids in tow, the idea of staying somewhere close to the park was a no-brainer. That’s where Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground came in! Located just a 10-minute walk from Disneyland, HOJO Anaheim is the perfect spot to relax and recharge after a day at the park.

One of the standout features of this hotel is how easy and convenient it made our stay. After a long day at Disneyland, the last thing you want to do is navigate traffic or wait in long lines for transportation. Being able to walk back to our hotel in a matter of minutes was a huge perk.   

Mimi’s Café, inspired by a French cottage, is a must-see and one of the most well-known eateries on the Harbor strip! The greatest breakfast in the Resort area, as well as delectable lunch and dinner options for the whole family. A full bar with an amazing wine list and artisan beers is now available.

Our Room Experience

We were fortunate to stay in one of the recently renovated rooms at HOJO Anaheim, and it did not disappoint. The room was modern, comfortable, and spacious enough for our family of four. While the main tower has been updated, it’s worth noting that the four smaller buildings are still awaiting their renovations. When booking, we recommend asking about room types and availability, so you know what to expect for your stay.

Fun for the Whole Family at Castaway Cove

One of the highlights of staying at HOJO Anaheim is Castaway Cove, the hotel’s very own water playground. It’s a pirate-themed oasis that kids of all ages will love. Castaway Cove features slides, water cannons, and even a pirate ship that adds a splash of adventure to your stay. Our kids, who are getting a bit older, still couldn’t resist a little pirate fun. And for the littlest ones, “Speedy’s Sprayground” is the perfect spot to splash around with a toddler pool and beach-style entry.

Even though we spent most of our time at the pool, Castaway Cove was a must for our kids. It’s such a fun way to unwind after a day at Disneyland, and it adds another layer of excitement to your staycation.

Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, making our stay feel extra special.
