Language Immersion for All Ages

Yak Academy offers a variety of programs to meet the developmental needs of children, from infants to elementary school-aged kids. The academy’s curriculum is taught 100% in the target language, providing a fully immersive experience for young learners.

Parent & Me Classes (Ages 0-2.5 Years)

For the youngest learners, Yak Academy offers Parent & Me Classes, led by Ms. Blanca. These hour-long sessions, held on Mondays from 3:45-4:45 PM, are designed for children accompanied by a caregiver. Babies are introduced to the new language through play, songs, and dance, all in the target language. Early exposure to language helps young children’s brains absorb vocabulary naturally, and Yak Academy’s native-speaking teachers ensure an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Classes for Preschoolers and Elementary School Kids (Ages 3-12)

For independent learners, Yak Academy offers fun and interactive classes for children aged 3-5 and 6-12, led by Ms. Maria, Ms. Angie, Ms. Ericka, Ms. Ahtziri, and Ms. Selene. Held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, these 75-minute classes focus on practical, everyday language skills. Through games, art, music, and movement, children are encouraged to learn while they play, making language acquisition both enjoyable and effective.

Yak Academy also offers Mandarin classes taught by Ms. Ella and Ms. Yinglie Li, held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for preschoolers to children up to 12 years old. In addition, French classes are taught by Ms. Maelle on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, offering a fun and immersive learning experience for the same age group.

Yak Academy introduces new, exciting units every two weeks, ensuring that children stay engaged and motivated as they expand their language skills.

Advanced Classes and Creative Programs

For older children, Yak Academy offers Advanced Language Classes with Ms. Maria on Mondays from 5:00-6:15 PM. These classes continue to emphasize practical communication while incorporating more complex reading and writing skills as students progress.

For those seeking creative outlets, Yak Academy also offers an Advanced Creative Art in Spanish Class on Tuesdays from 5:00-6:15 PM, as well as a Spanish Book Club for children in grades 1-4. These programs allow students to further deepen their language skills through art, drama, and literature.
