Lunar New Year Celebration at South Coast Botanic Garden
Saturdays and Sundays, February 2026
The South Coast Botanic Garden celebrates the Lunar New Year every weekend through February 22nd with new expanded hours and additional performance times. The festivities include crafting dragon puppets, making paper lanterns, calligraphy, Mahjong, and games. Each weekend also features live performances of lion and dragon dances, as well as martial arts demonstrations, and more. The event is free with garden admission, there is an additional fee for performances.

Port of Los Angeles Lunar New Year Festival

Celebrate the 12th Annual Lunar New Year Festival at the Port of Los Angeles. This free, family-friendly event welcomes guests of all ages to ring in the Year of the Horse with an exciting lineup of cultural performances, dance and musical showcases, a petting zoo, and a wishing wall. Enjoy delicious offerings from food trucks serving traditional Lunar New Year favorites.
Disney’s California Adventure

Head to theĀ Disneyland ResortĀ for a multicultural celebration to ring in the Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure. Festivities celebrating the Year of the Horse include Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, a Lunar New Year wishing wall, special dining options featuring Asian cuisine, live performances, and character meet-and-greets. You’ll also find specially-themed merchandise across the park.

Lunar New Year at The Huntington
February 21 – 22, 2026
Join in the family-friendly festivities celebrating the Year of the Horse at the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. The Lunar New Year festivities include lion dancers, a mask-changing artist, calligraphy and martial arts demonstrations, musical performances, art and craft demonstrations, food trucks, and more. Festivities take place in and around the Chinese Garden and other performance spaces from 10am to 5pm. Advanced reservations are required.
Cerritos Towne Center Lunar New Year

Celebrate the Year of the Horse at Cerritos Towne Center on Saturday, February 21 from 12 PM to 2 PM, in the Regal Edwards Courtyard. This free event features Lion Dance performances, kids’ crafts, photo opportunities, stilt walkers and Lucky Red Envelope Giveaway.
Lunar New Year at Segerstrom

Celebrate the Year of the Horse with the Pacific Symphony at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. The performance features a colorful presentation of Eastern and Western music and dance.

127th Annual Golden Dragon Parade
February 21, 2026
Join the thousands who flock to this annual cultural event. The parade route spans a five block radius of North Broadway and Hill street in Chinatown. The parade marchers include kung fu performers, lion dancers, marching bands, and the newly crowned Miss Chinatown Los Angeles. The event, which starts at 1pm and ends at 4pm, is free to the public, but tickets can be purchased for seating in the grandstand.
