Disneyland Resort: Pixar Fest Food Review

Bylara scott July 23, 2018January 4, 2022

The moment I realized I was a grownup was not when I had children, but just this past year when it hit me that I would be happy to go to Disneyland Resort and just eat my way around Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park without even going on an attraction. Don’t get me wrong; I LIVE for the attractions (new favorite: the Incredicoaster), but the food is so spectacular that it is its OWN attraction at this point.

Planning Your Food Adventure

Do yourself a favor and check out the Pixar Fest Food Guide online before your visit, or grab a paper copy on your way in to one of the parks. It is really helpful because it lists all of the special Pixar Fest offerings; you can see the name of the dish, where you can get it, what land it is in, and what movie it ties in to. There are well over one hundred special foods, so you can use the guide to check out everything, pick your favorites, and then plan your day around that. There is even a map in the guide to show you the food locations in each park!

What I Tried

Green Alien Pasta at Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland // TOY STORY: I gobbled this up while watching the Pixar Play Parade! Sweet Peas, parmesan, and bacon go great with pasta covered in spinach and miso pesto.

Cheeseburger Pizza
at Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland // TOY STORY: This is exactly what it sounds like! Hamburger patties, pickles, ketchup, mustard, cheese, tomatoes…I have never thought to combine the taste of a burger and a pizza but OH MY GOODNESS is this yummy!

The Macarooooon
at Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland // TOY STORY : My kids weren’t sure whether to play with this cute little macaron (despite the name, it is actually a macaron with a delicious filling), which is green and looks like the face of one of the little aliens with three eyeballs and a smile.

Mexican Chocolate Pot de Crème at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland // COCO: We all love Miguel, and it was so cute that this slightly spicy, layered dessert is topped with a picture of him on a piece of chocolate. This one is a chocoholic’s dream!

Al Pastor Huarache at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland // TOY STORY: The toppings are SO GOOD!!! There’s pineapple slaw, pasilla pepper crema, Mexican crema, and queso fresco atop refried beans and pork.

Get Thee To Pixar Fest

The five dishes above are really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the food at Pixar Fest! I can’t wait to go back for a Yodeling Cowgirl Pretzel, a Buttercup Funnel Cake, a Choose Your Racer Churro…I could go on and on. And then there is all the special Pixar Pier merchandise, the Pier itself, and all the “regular” awesomely amazing Disneyland Resort stuff. BUT…don’t wait too long to visit, because Pixar Fest is only on until September 3rd. And now I am off to dream about Baby Dory Cake Pops…
