Events & Activities in the South Bay This Month
Fiesta Hermosa
September 5-7
Fiesta Hermosa is back in downtown Hermosa Beach for Labor Day Weekend, running September 5 through 7, 2026. The free community festival takes over the beach city for three days with live music, local vendors, food, and a carnival.

Long Beach Greek Festival
September 5-7
Eat, drink, dance, and be merry at the annual celebration of all things Greek. From authentic Greek food and music, to shopping and more you’ll be immersed in everything incredible this ancient culture has to offer.
Movies at the Beach
September 12 and 19
Movies at the Beach returns to Hermosa Beach for two Saturdays in September. Enjoy free sunset films on the sand, just south of the Hermosa Beach Pier. On September 12, enjoy the family favorite Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, followed by the hit rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You on September 19. The event begins at 7 p.m., with movies starting at sundown around 7:45 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, low-back beach chairs, and plenty of friends for a cozy night under the stars.
Hermosa Beach Concert Series
September 13 and 20
The Hermosa Beach Concert Series takes place annually on the two Sundays following Labor Day weekend. The Series takes place south of the Pier with shows beginning at 3 PM.
City of Gardena Movie Night
September 18
Enjoy a magical Movie Night under the stars watching Zootopia 2 on Friday, September 18th. Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, family, and friends for a night of fun, laughter, and adventure.

Blessings For Your Soles 3rd Annual Gala
September 19
Blessings for Your Soles, a local nonprofit dedicated to delivering socks and footwear to vulnerable populations is hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year, the 3rd Annual Gala, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Torrance. Guests will enjoy a plated meal, drinks, and a limited bar, along with a silent auction, opportunity drawing baskets, and a 50/50 drawing. The event also features photo opportunities, goodie bags, and the chance to connect with fellow supporters while raising funds toward the organization’s $30,000 goal.
Moompetam American Indian Festival
September 12 – 13
Aquarium of the Pacific celebrates its twenty-second annual Moompetam American Indian Festival. The event features traditional cultural craft demonstrations, storytelling, music, and dance all celebrating indigenous California maritime cultures, including Tongva, Chumash, Acjachemen, Costanoan, Luiseño, and Kumeyaay.
Baja Splash Cultural Festival
September 26 – 27
The Aquarium of the Pacific is hosting the twenty-fifth annual Baja Splash Cultural Festival in celebration of cultures from México, Central and South America, and beyond. You’ll enjoy traditional dance performances, live music, and more.

2026 El Segundo Main Street Fair
September 26
Join in the fun at the 2026 El Segundo Main Street Fair hosted by the El Segundo Kiwanis Club. Bring your family and friends to the South Bay on Saturday Sept. 26th for a fun filled day of music, food and crafts by local vendors, games and rides for kids, a rockin’ beer garden, and much more!

Fridays, September 4 – 22
Dance MDR returns to Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey. Every Friday night in September, dance the night away under the stars to live music from some of L.A.’s top DJs.
Bob Baker Day
September 20
The 12th Annual Bob Baker Day, which usually takes place in April, was postponed to September this year due to rain (remember that stuff?). This free, family-friendly festival celebrates the legacy of founder, Bob Baker, with puppets, art, and fun for the whole community. The event takes place from 10am-5pm at LA State Historic Park.

Halloween at Disneyland Resort
August 21 – October 31
Oogie Boogie Bash tickets are still available and you can enjoy loads of more spooky fun at the Disneyland Resort this fall. From Mickey Mouse pumpkins to the Nightmare Before Christmas-themed Haunted Mansion Holiday, Disneyland at Halloween time is always exciting. Halloween-themed attractions, shows, character photo ops, decor, and tasty Halloween treats are all part of the celebration.
