Village Runner Independence Day 5K Run & Firecracker Dash
The 33rd Annual 4th of July 5K Run/Walk and Firecracker Dash returns to Riviera Village in Redondo Beach on Independence Day morning for one of the South Bay’s longest-running holiday traditions. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to take in a scenic course along the Pacific Ocean, with chip timing, age division awards, and cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K. Kids ages 4 through 9 can join the Firecracker Dash, with separate heats by age group and medals for every finisher. All registered participants receive an Independence Day run t-shirt. Whether you’re chasing a personal record or just looking for a festive way to kick off the holiday with the family, this South Bay event is a great way to start the 4th.

All participants receive an Independence Day t-shirt. Kids Dash finishers receive medals. Age division medals and cash prizes awarded to top finishers in the 5K. Volunteer opportunities available — all volunteers receive a race shirt.
