Kindness Club Kidspiration: Self Love Bucket
I am excited to announce that our Kidspiration super star this week is Quinn Weber! She is going to teach us how to make a Self-Love Bucket.
Kindness Club Kidspiration: Self Love Bucket
Tell us about yourself:
“My name is Quinn. Iām 7 years old but about to turn 8 in August. I am going into 3rd grade at WISH Charter. I love to singing, dancing, Roblox, and playing with my friends. “
What is the name of your Kidspiration Idea:
“Self Love Bucket “
Tell us about your project or idea:
“The Self Love Bucket is a way to remind yourself of all the amazing things about you, especially if youāre sad or having a bad day. You write down what is great about yourself, put them in the bucket, and pull one out when youāre feeling down and need to feel better.”
Supplies needed for Self-Love Bucket Activity:
- A container to put your self love notes in. We used an old plastic bottle but you can use a cup, box, jar, anything that can hold your messages. You can decorate it yourself, too!
- Paper for your notes. The brighter the better!
- Crayons, pencils or markers.
- Scissors.
- You can also use glue or tape for your bucket.
- And stickers – whatever you want to use to decorate your bucket and notes!Ā
Ā Steps to make your project:
The first thing you want to do is make your bucket. Have a grown up help you cut your container (if itās not already open at the top, like a jar.) Then, you decorate it any way you want. I used colored construction paper and lots of stickers!
When youāre finished with that, you can make your notes. Cut pieces of the construction paper into strips, and then write really nice things that you love about yourself. If you run out of ideas, you can also add more later. You can decorate your notes with stickers or stamps or drawings! Once youāre done, fold them in half and put them in your bucket.Ā
What inspired you to share your project with Kindness Club?
Ā “It made me feel sad when I was down and I was upset with myself, I needed something to make me feel better. I donāt want that to happen to other people so I wanted to share so they could also feel better.”
Is there anything special that you want others to do with the self love bucket project?
“I want others to share this craft so other kids can be happy.”
