How to Support LA Fire Relief Efforts: What You Need to Know
These LA Fires are devastating and scary! Even if your family hasn’t been directly impacted in the areas hit hard, like the Pacific Palisades and Altadena, it can feel overwhelming to sit by and watch it all play out on TV and across social media.
When tragedy strikes, our immediate instinct is to jump in and help. While this is a beautiful testament to the kindness in our community, it’s essential to approach relief efforts thoughtfully. This is still an active and evolving situation, and acting too quickly without clear guidance can sometimes create unintended challenges.
At Local Anchor, we’re committed to vetting and sharing ways to give back that truly make an impact. We will only recommend opportunities directly from trusted nonprofits. Please bookmark this page as we will continue to update it as more information becomes available.

How You Can Help Right Now
We are all eager to help, but please know that in the past, media and local nonprofits have advised against bringing items directly to affected areas during the immediate aftermath of a disaster. In the days and weeks ahead, there will be many opportunities to help as those affected begin to clean up and rebuild their lives and communities.
