Project: NEEDS – St. Paul’s United Methodist Church – Redondo Beach
Project: NEEDS extends two vital services to individuals in our community facing hardship. Every Tuesday evening, they provide a warm meal to those experiencing hunger.
Additionally, the food pantry, operating on the first and third Thursday of each month, distributes essential groceries to families and homeless individuals.
At present, they serve an average of 85 meals every Tuesday, benefiting approximately 400 families per month through our food pantry.

Seventh-Day Adventist Church Food Pantry- Hawthorne
Food Bank Schedule:
The food bank operates on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Instructions for Visiting the Food Bank:
To ensure a smooth experience, they kindly request that you arrive early. They also appreciate your patience as they gather the requested food items and distribute them to every car and household fairly. If you have any inquiries, please feel free to ask. They are here to assist you.

Mama Rosa’s Food Pantry – Gardena Genesis Comm. Church SDA – Gardena
The pantry is open on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, running from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, or until all food is distributed.
Recipients receive food without any cost and remain in their vehicles to ensure the safety of both our community members and volunteers. To cater to the large number of families, we operate in an efficient assembly line manner.
Prior to opening, vehicles line up outside the church. As they enter our back-parking lot, our dedicated volunteers swiftly place prepackaged boxes of food into the trunks of each vehicle. This process continues until the last vehicle passes through our gates.

Harbor Gateway Torrance Outreach – Torrance
The Harbor Gateway Torrance Outreach is a nonprofit organization that offers assistance to low-income families by offering free commodities throughout the community. We have been a help to families in need since September 18th, 1990. Harbor Gateway Torrance Outreach is a volunteer-only driven organization. The Outreach distributes at two sites, Normandale Recreation Center and Harbor Gateway, Boys & Girls Club.

Food Pantry LAX – Inglewood
Customers are welcome to visit twice a week, and there are no income requirements. No ID is needed. They understand that larger families may have greater needs, so they ensure they receive an ample supply of food.
For those clients who have cooking appliances, they provide a variety of nutritious items such as rice, spaghetti, eggs, and canned goods like vegetables, ravioli, and chili. The menu changes weekly to keep things fresh and exciting.
For those without cooking appliances or refrigeration, they offer convenient options like tuna, beef sticks, Vienna sausages, protein and granola bars, peanut butter, and crackers. And, of course, all customers receive a selection of bread as well as fresh fruits and vegetables.
They also understand the importance of meeting the needs of families with young children. That’s why they offer baby food and formula, diapers, toiletries, and feminine hygiene products upon request.
At this pantry, they strive to provide not only essential food items but also the necessary provisions to support the well-being of our valued customers.

Harbor Interfaith Services – San Pedro
The Food Pantry provides clients with a three-day provision of groceries, donated clothing, personal hygiene items; shampoo, deodorant, diapers, toothbrush and toothpaste.
To apply for services you must be a resident of the South Bay area of Los Angeles which includes San Pedro, Wilmington, Harbor City, Lomita, Torrance, Harbor Gateway, and Long Beach.

Calvary Presbyterian in Hawthorne
Calvary’s Deacons lead a monthly food distribution program on the first Saturday of each month. Together with Virginia Elledge and a dedicated team, they gather groceries and supplies from the Los Angeles Food Bank and other sources. The process of organizing, sorting, and preparing 100 bags for those in need starts days in advance. From 8am to 11:00am, the distribution takes place, ensuring that assistance is provided to those who require it. We are committed to serving our community.
