South Bay’s Shakespeare by the Sea is Back for 2026
Shakespeare by the Sea is a beloved nonprofit theatre company founded in 1998 that brings free, ticketless performances of the Bard’s classics to parks across Southern California, with several events across the South Bay.

Shakespeare By the Sea 2026
What began as intimate productions has blossomed into a weeks-long summer tour, visiting Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, and more with guaranteed free admission: no tickets, no fees. This summer will be their 29th season touring with a live production of Macbeth.
Shakespeare By the Sea is a great summer activity for all ages, packed with laughter, drama, romance, and alfresco ambiance. Just bring a blanket or low-back chairs and enjoy top-quality theatre under the stars.

2026 South Bay Performance Schedule
In past seasons, Shakespeare by the Sea has featured two shows, but for 2026 they are focusing on one of the Bard’s most famous plays, Macbeth. While production will travel to locations across Los Angeles, this is the full list of performances taking place in the South Bay:
