Celebrate the Light at these Chanukah Events in the South Bay and Los Angeles
Chanukah is here! Itās time to light the menorah, break out the dreidels, and eat latkes. There are lots of different ways you can get into the holiday spirit, from lighting candles every night, playing dreidel games, singing songs togetherā¦the list goes on and on! Hanukkah is the festival of lights and there are plenty of Hanukkah events happening across the South Bay and around Los Angeles for you to enjoy with the entire family.

If you celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas you’re in for a double dose of holiday events this year! Chanukah begins at sundown on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and lasts for eight joyous nights, concluding at sundown on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Chanukah on Ice
December 25, 2024, 4 – 6pm
Enjoy the glowing lights from an unusual view as you skate around the ice rink featuring a giant menorah. The special event is $15 per person and includes skates. Food will be available for purchase.

Look out for the Giant Menorah Boat at the King Harbor Holiday Boat Parade starting at 4pm (Public viewing stands at the end of Mole B (off Marina Way). Moonstone Park and the Portofino Hotel are also good viewing places)
Giant Chanukah Celebration
Sunday, December 29th, at 3:30pm
Join the largest Chanukah celebration in town at the Hermosa Beach Pier Plaza on the 5th Night of Chanukah! The event will include a live Chanukah Performance by the Academy of the Arts and a giant Gelt drop from a firetruck ladder. You can also enjoy hot latkes and donuts, holiday crafts and activities, live music, and more.

Light Up Lomita
