Events & Activities in the South Bay This Month
KCRW Summer Nights
June 6
Join KCRW to celebrate with an ocean-themed party at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. Enjoy some great tunes while you explore the beach! Explore the aquarium after hours and experience hands-on, ocean-inspired activities. KCRW DJs SiLVA & Raul Campos will keep the beats flowing while you enjoy food trucks, a bar, and fun for the whole family.

Torrance Summer Nights
Various dates starting June 6
The City of Torrance Community Services Department is bringing back Torrance Summer Nights, its free outdoor concert and entertainment series, running from June 6 through September 12, 2026.
Beatles and Bruno Mars tribute bands, a Woodstock retrospective, country music, Disney’s Frozen on stage at the Armstrong Theatre, a three-day international art fair, and so much more. And the best part is, all of it is free!
Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival
June 12 – 14
Are you looking for some fantastic family entertainment? Check out the Annual Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival, the South Bay’s largest carnival. With artisans, crafters, shops, organizations, and food vendors, this popular event has something for everyone.

Hermosa Beach Pride

The 6th annual Hermosa Beach Pride Festival features a weekend-long celebration including a drag show, Pride brunch, and Pride Play Day that invites the whole family to enjoy the Cornhole Classic with special guests Abby Wambach and Glennon Doyle.
Kids Club at The Point

Join the fun for The Point’s Monthly Special Themed Kids Club Events, happening the 3rd Wednesday of each month. It’s all about summer in June with a Beach Bash featuring

Father’s Day BBQ at Aquarium of the Pacific

Celebrate Father’s Day at the Aquarium of the Pacific with a delicious BBQ lunch served outside on the Veranda dining area with picturesque views of Rainbow Harbor. Juneteenth in Manhattan Beach

TOCApalooza, the annual family-friendly festival presented by the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation is back for 2026! Join in the festivities on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, located at 3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance, CA 90503. You’ll enjoy a full day of artistic celebration, featuring live entertainment, art exhibitions, a Kids Zone, a variety of artist vendors, and exciting culinary experiences.

Riviera Village Summer Festival
June 26 – 28
The beloved 3-day street festival in Redondo Beach kicks off Friday, June 26 at 12:00 PM and runs through Sunday, June 28. Welcome summer with a weekend of of shopping, live music, food and family-friendly activities, including a Kids Zone with games and inflatables.

California Watermelon Festival
June 6 – 7
Eat, drink, and revel in all things watermelon at this annual festival devoted to everyone’s favorite summer fruit. The celebration includes live music, carnival rides and games, a kids’ zone, watermelon carving, fun photo ops, and of course, plenty of unique watermelon dishes.

The Music Center’s Dance DTLA
June 26 – August 14 (Fridays)
Welcome to a free, family-friendly dance party celebrating its 22nd year! On select Fridays throughout the summer, head to the Jerry Moss Plaza at The Music Center to check out some of LA’s top bands and DJs and get your boogie on. You’ll also be treated to free dance lessons covering styles from salsa to disco and even Bollywood.
Sawdust Arts & Crafts Festival
June 26 – September 6
Sawdust Art Festival features the artwork of 180 local Laguna Beach artists. Visitors can also check out three live music stages, complimentary art classes, glassblowing and art demonstrations, and various outdoor dining and drink offerings.
