School breaks can be challenging when kids are home from school with little to do and no childcare. With several weeks of winter break on the horizon, you may already be humming, “Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again!” Luckily, there are plenty of winter break camps in South Bay to keep your kids engaged and happy while you get some work done. Winter Break Camps in Redondo Beach
Sand and Surf Soccer Club
The Sand and Surf Soccer Club is hosting a Winter Development camp to help kids develop their soccer skills and take them to the next level. During the 8 weekly sessions, campers will work on ball mastery, skills and turns of the week, and, of course, scrimmages! Camp sign-up includes an S&S Jersey and ball! Age group: 11-18 Sessions are divided by age and skill levels.

Redondo Beach Recreation Center Winter Camp
Looking for a traditional camp experience for the kids during that long holiday break? With a full day program and fun activities, the Afterschool Program Recreation Leaders is the best camp for your money. Like their Thanksgiving week camp, the Christmas break camp provides fun activities for children ages 6-12. Activities include indoor and outdoor group games, arts and crafts, contests, special events, and free time with other activities such as ping pong, billiards, and other games. Besides having lots of fun, the camp offers a great way for kids to work on their social skills instead of parking in front of a screen all break long. Afterschool Recreation Leaders also provides after school programs on school days.

Fit Kids Gymnastics Center
Need a way to get the kids up and moving during winter break? Sign them up for a morning of winter break camp at Fit Kids Gymnastics Center. Campers can participate in fun gymnastics-based sports activities, including trampolines. The camp also offers arts and crafts projects and more. Camp is for kids ages 5 through 12, and you can sign up by the day to meet your needs because we all know plans change quickly when kids are involved.
Dates: Dec. 26 – 29, 9am – 1pm
Cost: $89 per day, and they offer a 10% sibling discount

Winter Break Camps in Manhattan Beach
Adventure Camp at AdventurePlex
Adventure awaits this Winter Break at this exciting, thrilling recreation center in Manhattan Beach. The Adventure Camp is designed to instill healthy habits in the youngest campers with various physical and educational activities while building self-esteem and development skills for kids of all ages. Daily camp offerings include rock climbing, arts and crafts, and sports games. The camp is designed for kids ages 4 – 12.
Dates: Dec. 18 – 22, Dec. 26 – 29, Jan. 2 – 5
Cost: $55/day (8am – 4pm) Before/After Care: $75/day (includes camp rate and extended hours from 7-8am & 4-6pm)

My Gym Camp
My Gym is simply the best! There are so many activities for kids to participate in. From fitness games and gymnastics to arts and crafts and music, campers choose what they would like to do each day. Each camp program is designed to keep your children learning new things while moving and staying active. Every day is unique, and you can pick and choose the days you want to sign up. Snacks are provided. Campers must be potty trained.

Winter Break Camps in El Segundo
CHAMP CAMP Skate Camp
The Champ Camp is back with a week-long winter break skate camp. Campers will learn the basics of skateboarding and different skating techniques. The camp is for kids ages 5-12. Skaters Campers are required to wear a helmet and elbow and knee pads.

The Sports Complex
Easily one of the best Christmas break camps for young athletes. The camp is divided into seven main areas: basketball, hockey, lacrosse, softball, volleyball, baseball, and soccer. The Sports Complex also offers an all-encompassing athletic performance sports camp. Kids will participate in various activities focused on player development, including learning different techniques, learning fundamental skills, and strength training along with movement. Groups are divided by grade level, covering kids in grades 3 – 12.
Dates: Dec. 18-22, Dec. 26-29, 9-12pm (The soccer and volleyball camps also offer an afternoon session 1-3pm)

The Art Experience Studio
Art Experience Studio offers a winter art camp with something for all kids to try and discover! Kids can spend time making new friends while learning to express themselves through art. The camp is for all kids ages 5 and up.
