Events & Activities in the South Bay This Month
From Spring celebrations to Earth Day, so many exciting events are happening in April. We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite things to do this month.
Manhattan Beach and El Segundo Camp Fair
April 25
Learn all about local summer camps and connect with camp staff. This year we have four camp fairs scheduled featured some of the best local camps in the area. Enjoy live entertainment, fun activities for kids, and the first 100 families that check in will receive a special gift bag!

Easter Egg Painting at Proud Bird
April 4
Join in the fun at an Easter Egg Painting party at The Proud Bird. They’ll have all the supplies your kiddos will need to show off their creativity, and the Easter Bunny will be hoppin’ around the restaurant to meet and greet with the whole family!
Hoppin’ Good Time at Rowley Park
April 4
Enjoy a morning filled with hunting for colorful eggs and enjoying springtime festivities. There will be crafts, games, an easter egg hunt, and more at Rowley Park on Saturday, April 4, 2026. This event is free to attend.

Whale of a Day
April 11
The City of Rancho Palos Verdes and Los Serenos de Point Vicente invite you to the 41st Annual Whale of a Day. This free, family-friendly event celebrates the migration of Pacific Gray whales from the Arctic to Baja California. The event features children’s games, crafts, inflatables, and face painting, guided tours of the Point Vicente Lighthouse grounds and Interpretive Center museum, marine-themed vendors, local organizations, and live music by local artists. A variety of food and beverage options will be available for purchase including food trucks, kettle corn, churros, beer, and wine.

Springfest

Back for it’s 44th year, Springfest offers South Bay residents of all ages an exciting lineup of activities and entertainment, including carnival rides, games, live performance, delicious eats, and more
Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach
April 17 – 19
Get your motors running and head to the biggest racing event of the year in the heart of downtown Long Beach. The three-day race includes a family fun zone, food truck experience, and an exotic car paddock.
Dinosaur World Live

Earth Day Teen Climate Fest – Aquarium of the Pacific

The Aquarium’s Teen Climate Council presents the 24th annual Earth Day celebration at the Aquarium of the Pacific, featuring displays, activities, and presentations with an emphasis on sustainable art that will demonstrate how you can make a difference in your community and for the planet.

Bubblefest at Discovery Cube Orange County
March 14 – April 12
The renowned spring family festival in Orange County returns to Discovery Cube Orange County. Watch Melody Yang, the world’s most famous bubble artist, perform in the Mega Bubblefest Laser show, a magnificent 45-minute spectacle. Kidstock at Pretend City
March 31 – April 11
Enjoy live musical performances throughout the week and explore different musical stylings, instruments, and sounds! Kidstock Music & Arts Festival rocks to life on Wednesdays-Sundays, with performances at 11am and 2:30pm.
California Poppy Festival
April 17-19
The California Poppy Festival is back and ready to celebrate our state’s iconic orange flower with live entertainment, amusement park rides, animal exhibits, crafts, festival food, and more.
Los Angeles Times Festival of Books
April 18-19
The biggest event of the year celebrating all things books is back again at USC. The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is a free event featuring 250 book and merchandise exhibitors, 8 outdoor stages and activity areas, performances, poetry readings, and more.

Renaissance Pleasure Faire
April 4 – May 17 (Saturdays and Sundays)
