Knott’s Boysenberry Festival

The annual food festival is back for 2024 and serving up all kinds of delicious treats for visitors of all ages. The festival also features live music, local crafters, and fun family activities. This year’s event will feature all-new food offerings with more than two dozen food and drink items.
Hermosa Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Celebrate the luck of the Irish with bagpipers, marching bands, and everything green parading down the route that runs along Pier Avenue in Downtown Hermosa Beach.
Festival of the Kite

Let’s go fly a kite at the 50th annual celebration of this thrilling festival! Head down to the Redondo Beach Pier and bring your kites. There are contests for the best kites in several categories, including highest flying, best handmade, and youngest flyer. The festival also features live music, food, and other fun family activities.
Springtime Easter Festival 2024 at Underwood Family Farms
March 16 – April 7
Springtime Easter Festival is as fun as the famous Underwood Harvest Festival but is usually less crowded. This annual event features live music, tractor-drawn wagon rides, farm animals, children’s activities, and more. Guests can also purchase fresh produce and flowers from the farm market. Online tickets are required for weekends.

Museum Free-For-All
March 23
Over 30 family-friendly SoCal museums offer free admission for this annual event. There is plenty to explore, with museums from Long Beach to Los Angeles to Santa Barbara. Popular museums participating include the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Broad Museum, the GRAMMY Museum, the Cayton Children’s Museum, the Getty, the California Science Center, and the La Brea Tar Pits, among many others.

LA Big 5K

Do your kids love to run? The LA Marathon takes place on March 16, but the day before is the perfect family-friendly racing event. The LA Big 5K, which goes through Elysian Park, is open to runners of all ages and abilities, including those riding in strollers.
